The RF-lab was at the renalweek in New Orleans.

This year again the RF-lab was present at the kidney-week, this time held in New Orleans. We presented two posters and one oral presentation.

Julie Klein gave an excellent oral presentation during the Saturday afternoon (4/11) session “Pediatric Nephrology and Developmental Biology” on our work on amniotic fluid peptides predictive of post-natal renal function in fetuses with CAKUT. The importance of the work was exemplified by a tweet from one of the spectators and the many interesting questions.IMG_3411

We also presented two posters:

Valerie Brunchault presented 1 poster entitled “A first assessment of urinary peptide biomarkers predictive of cardiovascular complications in children with chronic kidney disease” which attracted a lot of people!!

Joost Schanstra, replacing Bénédicte Buffin-Meyer, presented 1 poster entitled “Combination of different urinary omics traits improves the prediction of postnatal renal outcome in fetuses with posterior urethral valves” which led to very interesting discussions!

In the evening the town of New Orleans prepared a lot of nice views and events.
