Snigdha completed her Bachelor’s in Engineering (Biotechnology) from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru in 2016. Subsequently she obtained her Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden, where her master’s degree thesis was on generating stable cell lines overexpressing zinc finger protein 217.

She then worked at Jubilant Biosys Limited, Bengaluru as a project trainee in the oncology team, after which she worked as a Junior Research Fellow in the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bengaluru where her work focused on generation of engineered cells for therapy.

In December 2020, she joined the group as a PhD student through the CARe PhD program. Snigdha will look into the area of targeting immunosenescence to prevent kidney disease in elderly individuals.
